Zambian emeralds are highly transparent and are also beautiful and well-regarded. There are also "Oil-free"Emeralds are rare and command high prices.

Caring for Your Emerald

Emeralds have many inclusions and are very delicate gemstones, so as a general rule, you should wipe them gently with a soft cloth after use.
Store your jewelry separately out of direct sunlight, as it may chip if it comes into contact with other jewelry, or the oil treatment may dry out and crack if it is exposed to sunlight.
Also, ultrasonic testing should be avoided at all costs, as there are many inclusions and the oil may leak out, causing the stone to crack.

Caring for Jade

Jade is a soft and delicate gemstone, so care must be taken.
After use, wipe with a soft cloth. Store separately from other jewelry and avoid direct sunlight. Direct sunlight may cause fading.
To clean, fill a cup with lukewarm water and add a small amount of mild detergent (dishwashing liquid). Then, dip a soft brush (a toothbrush with soft bristles) in the detergent and gently scrub the jade. Scrubbing can scratch the jade or loosen the claws that hold it in place, so it's important to scrub gently. Once you've finished scrubbing, rinse the jade with lukewarm water.
Jadeite should not be ultrasonically cleaned, as ultrasonic vibrations can affect internal inclusions and surface irregularities, causing cracks.
