Characteristics of a diamond

ダイヤモンドDiamonds are made of carbon and form under extremely high temperature and pressure conditions at depths of 160 km. They have the highest Mohs hardness of all minerals and are the hardest naturally occurring substance. Therefore, they are widely used not only in jewelry but also in industry.
The Japanese name is "diamondIt means the hardest (rigid) stone among metals.
While it is produced in Russia, Africa, and Canada, Russia accounts for a significant portion of production, at 35%.
Due to environmental concerns, artificial diamonds (lab-grown diamonds) have become increasingly popular recently. They are made of the same carbon as natural diamonds and look very similar.
Natural diamonds are formed deep within the Earth's surface over long periods of time, while synthetic diamonds are produced in factories in a short period of time, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Therefore, synthetic diamonds are available at a lower price.
Although they may look the same, natural diamonds have an octahedral crystal structure, while synthetic diamonds have a cubic crystal structure. Therefore, when you have them authenticated, it will be clearly stated whether they are natural or synthetic, so please rest assured.

The origin of diamonds

The word "diamond" originates from the Greek word "adamas," which means "stronger than anything and unconquerable," a perfect fit for a diamond. It is said that the "a" was dropped from "adamas" to become "diamond."

The effect of diamonds

The meaning of the stone is "Eternal bond, purity, innocence".
Diamonds areEternal BondBecause it is considered a symbol of love, it has become a classic gemstone for engagement and wedding rings. Many people also choose to have a blue diamond placed inside their wedding ring as part of the "something blue" tradition.
Its clear, colorless transparency also has the effect of drawing out the purity within oneself, allowing one to exert their maximum power and fulfill their wishes.
This is recommended for those who want to achieve something or those who want to enjoy a long and happy married life.

Diamond care

As mentioned earlier, diamonds are the hardest material in nature, making them ideal gemstones for jewelry.
However, it can also break if force is applied in only a certain direction, which is called a "cleavage plane." So, it's not completely indestructible, so be careful.
Just like other gemstones, diamonds lose their sparkle over time with wear.
If you feel that way, put some lukewarm water in a glass and add a little mild detergent (dish soap).
Next, use a soft brush (a toothbrush with soft bristles) dipped in detergent to gently dab the diamond. Avoid scrubbing, as this can cause the prongs holding the diamond to loosen. The key is to dab it gently. After washing, rinse it with lukewarm water. Using an ultrasonic cleaner is also recommended to remove any remaining fine dirt.
